When Kanta first arrived at San Diego State to start the Sports MBA program, his enthusiasm was more than apparent. Kanta is the first to jump on volunteer opportunities to expand upon his classroom knowledge and is eager to see how Japan fares in the upcoming World Baseball Classic. In addition, Kanta is a Certified Public Accountant and he shares that experience every week by holding an Accounting Review Session for his classmates.

Why SDSU Sports MBA? This program provides a challenging curriculum that will all directly relate to my career goals that will hopefully involve athlete development.
Favorite class so far: Sports Marketing. I enjoy learning tactics to properly market sports organizations to help optimize fan experience and bring fans to sports games and events.
Fun fact about yourself: I had an opportunity to wear an Olympic medal around my neck and I speak fluent Japanese.
Best out of the classroom activity so far: Volunteering at the Farmers Insurance Open to observe behind the scenes operations of the entire tournament and watch the best golfers in the world from a close-up view.
I am very thankful for the opportunity to learn skills that will help optimize my ability in the sports industry after I complete this program.
