The August 20th match marked the 100th straight sellout game for the Seattle Sounders, a great accomplishment for the MLS franchise. The Sounders have lead the League in attendance for many seasons and host a passionate fan base. As Jodi’s shadow, I got to experience first-hand the enthusiasm of the Sounders franchise and the valuable partnership opportunities it creates.
With Jodi, I was behind the scenes for corporate partnership activation before, during, and after the match and helped as Jodi and the rest of the corporate partnership team worked tirelessly to ensure the best possible experience for their partners–activating creatively in all areas from radio to signage and hospitality.
Since the Sounders and Seahawks split their business operations earlier this year, Jodi has enjoyed focusing solely on the Sounders franchise and the new opportunities it provides. Working with the MLS has been exciting for her as the league is growing and soccer in the United States has an exciting future. Just last month, the Sounders hosted an English Premier League team, the Tottenham Hotspur, for a friendly at CenturyLink field that drew over 55,000 fans.
As an aspiring corporate partnership professional, I look forward to watching Jodi and the Sounders continue to succeed!
