What made you choose SDSU SMBA?

The high quality sports business curriculum, the extensive alumni network in Southern California and the international perspective of sports made me choose the SDSU Sports Business MBA program.

What do you hope to achieve while you’re a student in this program (personally and professionally)?

As a student in the program, I hope to acquire strong business knowledge, improve my networking skills and develop strong ties with my classmates.

Do you have any background/experience in the sports industry?  If not, any work experience?

I do have experience in the sports industry in Europe. For the past two years, I have been advising the GL events group on sports business matters, including the negotiation of endorsements, sponsorship, media rights, sporting event hosting and ticketing. I also worked at the NBA, in the International Television & Media department. I assisted senior management on media rights sales initiatives in Europe, Africa and the Middle-East and initiated marketing campaigns in the European media. Prior to that, I was a Legal Consultant for a professional rugby team in France (RC Orleans).

What area of the sports industry are you attempting to enter, and why?

I would like to work for an agency representing athletes worldwide or in global sponsorships. I believe that with my legal background and the business skills I will develop during the program, those two areas would be a great fit for me.

So far, what is your favorite class, and why?

So far my favorite class is Sports Business Management with Professor Rosner. His knowledge of the sports industry, both national and international, is incredible. We are truly fortunate he shares it with us.
